First of all, Duke and Puff, your posts were very well put, I agree.
To all of those who say these looters aren't wrong for what they're doing, stealing from the dead, put yourselves in the positions of the families of these dead people. How would you feel if after all this water is gone and you're trying to salvage what little bit is left of your family, you walked into their home and found nothing? You walk in to find that some low life has took what valuables there were left in the home. Would this not make you want to find that person and beat the hell out of them? I know that's how I'd feel if it were my family.
Like most everyone else has said, it is one thing to loot things that can help you survive but it is quite another to steal shit you have no use for. What the hell do you need with a tv and a xbox? There will be no electricity for months, you probably don't even have a home to go back to so what good are these things doing you? Stealing clothes to change from the probably filthy ones you are wearing is understandable. Stealing food and water to keep you from starving is understandable. Stealing blankets or pillows to keep you from sleeping on the bare ground is understandable. But stealing things you can't even use is, in the words of Duke, dispicable. It is these people, the greedy looters, that will suffer in the end, watch and see. The people that looted solely to survive are the only ones that they should give any leniency to.
