I like to point out that even if you don't feel bad for the animals abused in farming factories... look at how utterly unhealthy they simply look.. not to mention how unhealthy they actually are. THATS what you are eating when you eat your "beef lo mein" Even as a meat-eater, why would you want to ingest something that looks like it might make you sick if you breathed the same air it was breathing.
Agreed. You are what you eat. I wouldn't go within 50 feet of something that looked that sickly, and yet people think it's OK to eat it.
You seen that video on YouTube where the person pours Coca-Cola onto some raw pork, and worms come out of it? I showed that to a meat eating friend who doesn't understand why I'm a vegetarian and even he was disgusted by it.
Before I turned vegetarian, I would probably catch colds/flu/etc like 3 or 4 times a year. Last year I got sick twice.
It'll be November 2009 in a few days time and I haven't gotten sick AT ALL this year. Not even slightly.
Take into consideration the fact that almost everyone I know has been sick at some point this year, I've personally encountered a bunch of people who had swine flu, a primary school less than a mile from where I live had more swine flu cases than anywhere else in the UK, and I've travelled more than usual this year due to shows, and that says it all. There's no magical solution behind it, it's just that a vegetarian diet is healthier and that's a fact.
