Why, what's the problem? Is this such a tragedy? You know, there is a world beyond Europe and America too. And people from the other part of the world EXPERIENCE THIS EVERY DAY. Do you stop your bullshitting then? NO.
You ass, if you took your time and read the thread you'd see that NO ONE is trying to convince ppl into BELIEVEING. Believe what? We were discussing how war and the aftermath of war is.
No one has said that. But you misunderstand cause obviously you don't think after you read, you jump into conclusions. people that are talking about this (me, teck-neeks, not really ken etc tc) are not justifying this. We're telling you what WAR really is!!!!!! England is in war with terrorism! Deal with it, same as Iraqis deal with it( I must say they have it FAR FAR FAR worse then you can imagine)
You know what sickens me? Today I turned my tele-text on and looked at the newspages. I see about 7 pages about the attack on London. Then I see a "Notices: 15 Iraqis killed in another attack". This was before they established that 40 ppl had died. Funny isn't it?

First of all, most probably you ain't even 18, so stop talking to me like you were grown and shit. Second, civilians don't deserve to die. BUT civilians who voted FOR a war should know what that means. It basically means that you're ok if your country goes to war, but obviously they didn't thought that the opponents could hit them. Now, don't misunderstand. I'm not saying that they deserve to die. They TOOK A RISK by voting for. Now they (and people who voted against) have to take responsibility. It's just like when you vote. If you happened to vote for a dictator then luck ran out of ya.

this is what i mean though. what was the point with your comment here? don't be such a clever bitch, you know damn well what i meant. i was merely underscoring a point and you know it so stop trying to make me look like a piece of shit by reading more into what i said than i did myself. in relation to the recent events that have taken place in london, i care not how sad it is that people die in somalia every day. i do not care how sad it is that south africa was under an apartheid sovereign, as far as what happened in london goes. no matter how sad it is that people had to undergo such degration and pain, the tragedy that took place in london is indeed also sad. that's not to say i think it's okay that people have died or are still dying other places in the world. nothing saddens me more. but like i said, don't be so clever because you know damn well that's what i meant, and not that i think it's okay that iraqies have died. it is an outrage that people justify what happened this morning by saying that there are bigger tragedies other places in the world. there are, but what has that got to do with london? why do you bring it into this thread? "yeah sure, it's a sad day in london, but people have been living through this and still are other places in the world so we shouldn't care particularly for london". even though that's not the exact words people have been using, that is what some people have basically been saying, and it's wrong. it's fucking moronic.
and please don't take too much offence in my cursing because after writing this out i feel more calm. it just annoys me that people are quoting parts of people's posts in this thread and making it out like they are inhuman when in fact all they are trying to say is "there are lots of great tragedies that have taken, is taking, and will take place around in the world, and now one has taken place in london, and it hurts."

jesus dude. im sorry for england and im sorry for iraq. this thread has to do with london. i only speak for myself, but make a thread about the tragedy in iraq and i will post there saying it's fucked up too. people are arguing in this thread. STFUs and shit of the likes is being thrown around and it's fucked up how people actually argue about this. when you go to your grandfathers funeral, do you see people coming in there saying "yeah my grandfather died too, deal with it"?
i have said a lot that people can twist and interpret their own way, that people can quote and disagree with, so i'll say this: disregard my previous posts. i'll state my opinion once more clearly: people shouldn't argue in this thread. some people ARE trying to trivialize what happened in london. if you can't see it you are blind. what happens in iraq or botswana or far-awayistan has nothing to do with this thread. nothing justifies what has happened in london. nothing makes it right. no one deserved to die. if you think otherwise you have issues, and that's real.
the only reason i replied to this thread at all was that i felt pure anger inside when i saw how people were squabbling over petty and pointless shit when there is other stuff that should be talked about. if you want to discuss the tragedy of iraq, let's make a thread for it. let's not do it here. let's not say that "britain had it coming". i can quote several posts to underscore my point but i won't because you can read them yourself.

besides some small personal insults there hasn't been anything to give you a reason to close it. More so, a case like this is an issue and it brings discussion. As you see, we all don't agree so of course it becomes a debate. So far it's been quite good. I really hope you don't close it as there is no reason to it.

on a side note, i'd like to have a small moment of admiration for the London people who will recover fully from this tradgedy in super quick time. When they are attacked the British recover really quickly and this is a very admirable quality about them. It is recognised by foreginers who understand things like this. Just watch them :thumb:

Bush tells Americans to be "vigilant." I don't care what he meant by it. How unnerving it is to hear "watch your back" from your President at times like these. I think he lost his 2 remaining brain cells when he fell off his bike in Gleneagles.
I don't say this to seem indifferent to the 700 plus injured and the 40+ or so (I don't know what the latest figures are, I apologize) people who lost their lives today in London, and I don't say this to take anything away from the complete injustice of their deaths, as I am truly sorry for them, their grieving families, and everyone else affected; I say this just to be realistic about our modern day state of affairs and put things in perspective I guess. But what happened today is not the last of it, just as what happened with the Madrid train bombings, the events in Chechnya and Moscow, and the September 11th attacks were not the last of it. They say it will be years, decades even, before we're "successful" in Iraq and "successful" in defeating the terrorists. All that leaves us with is years, and decades more of attacks like todays. It isn't a great expectation, but I think those of us who live in the wealthiest and biggest cities in the world, and who commute daily by mass transit in them, should expect something like this to happen at any given moment.
So my heart goes out to those who've lost their lives to terrorism before, those who've lost it today, and those who'll lose it in the future.
