Chicken is foul!

#1
I dislike a dish that has chicken as the only ingredient. I can't stand the white meat all on its own, ugghhhh!

The taste is so bland. It's so stringy and chewy I would rather live off a diet of bread!

KFC think they have got it covered, by adding spices. But that's just artificial flavouring. There needs to be some 'other' ingredient to make a plate a Dish!

I'm a chef by profession. I don't got any beef with chicken, I like chicken. Only not when it's just on its own, with its own flavour. I cant just cook a dish with just chicken in it, like for example chicken dippers, roast chicken without veg, deep fried shredded chicken that I get at the chinese, poached chicken with no sauce. I need to serve it with an accompaniment, an ingredient that has contrasting flavours, but still adds to the richness of the dish.

If I were to cook a nice chicken dish I would need at least two ingredients to work with. That goes the same for any meal you may think of.

Chicken goes well with mushrooms, sweetcorn, noodles/pasta, rice, cream, white wine, tarragon, sage, and bacon.

All in all, I have never found a chicken dish that goes well on its own inparticular, or with beef.

I had to eat plain ass chicken when I was playing basketball religiously. It was part of this diet plan I was on, it has a flavor just there isn't much of it, and it's not a good but not a bad flavor, shit is weird. I'm so glad i'm not doing that anymore. Now I enjoy friend chicken, baked chicken parmesan, sesame chicken, bbq chicken, mmmm, chicken in salads, mother fuckin orange chicken from panda express, friend rice with chicken and shrimp like I'm eating right now, and on and on and on. I love chicken.

I don't eat KFC and i'm almost certain they aren't even using real chickens. I only eat organic poultry no red meat for me. And everything I make is seasoned though I can't stand the thought of unseasoned anything. :(

i'm just curious, where do people get this idea that KFC isn't real chicken? what the hell else would it be? it tastes like chicken, smells like chicken, looks like chicken, PETA complains about it like it's chicken. and speaking of PETA, you guys do remember they were protesting KFC just a couple years ago for treating the chickens inhumanely? so it is real chicken, unless they have their own slaughterhouses and just kill chickens for fun.

I'm not sure about American KFC's but here they buy chickens from casual farmers.
Maybe in America they invented super-mutant chickens in super secret laboratiories underground but here they actually are real deal chickens 100% and they taste good.

It comes from an urban legend about KFC using genetically engineered chickens and the government apparently doesn't allow them to use the word chicken anymore.

I say its not "real" chicken because compare to home made chicken it's disgusting, gross and fatty and I can't eat something that gross.
