Right. I see her moving clockwise. I spent 5 minutes trying to picture another option but it's impossible

edit: now I get it. If you're sitting below the monitor you will see that she's moving counter-clockwise, while if you stand above the monitor you will see her moving clockwise.
At least that's how I see it.

if you picture seeing her from "above" or her level she moves clockwise, while if you picture seeing her with her leg moving from "below" her level you see her moving counter-clockwise.
I don't see any easier explanation but it has nothing to do with right or left.

Funny thing is she's neither moving clockwise or counter clockwise.
She's just turning around right. It's neither clockwise or counter clockwise, it depends if you see her from above or from below.

you automaticaly picture her leg as clock's hand. If you would see a clock/watch from another side you would see it moving counter clockwise.

anyway it depends on how you picture it.

This news article, like many others, ignores the true source of this optical illusion and instead claims it is a quick test to see if you use more of your right brain or left brain. This is utter nonsense, but the “right-brain/left brain” thing is in the public consciousness and won’t be going away anytime soon. Sure, we have two hemispheres that operate fine independently and have different abilities, but they are massively interconnected and work together as a seamless whole (providing you have never had surgery to cut your corpus callosum).

For what it's worth, I saw her moving clockwise initially. For those of you who can only see her moving in one direction, take a look here.

if you look at one and dont cover the other eye, the other one spins in the same direction.

And my dad saw her go clockwise, and he's nothing out of all that.
