I understand why people drink. What troubles me is that most of them don't know why they drink.

I enjoy a beer, don't get me wrong. Sometimes the odd glass of whiskey and Jack.....but the point is, most people unfortunately drink for the sake of getting drunk. There is a time and place to get suitably shit-faced, but that is a very rare time. When you start to drink excessively more than once a month you have a problem.

And when you do do that, you should be aware if you're in any way burdening others.
I know why I drink militant, its because im addicted, i love the taste.. I have no plans on changing that until I die.

I wasn't talking about you buddy. You're a smart guy. I'm just saying that a lot of people don't know why they drink.

I'm with you. This is the reason I don't go to bars or clubs.
I definately avoid bars... I sometimes try to enjoy clubs because I like to dance. Usually dancehalls (which are hard to find out here) have a lot of dancing and not so much drinking... however, there's A LOT of smoking going on in it's place :(

i honestly cant stand people who dont drink.
why? i understand if you can't stand people who don't drink and say its bad. but if not, explain plz.

i've always said get shitfaced once, cause you have to live this at least once in your life. but every weekend? no no. if you're going to be shitfaced every weekend it's either because you don't know your limits or there's a problem.

I think I may be the only person in the entire world who is completely annoyed with the "it's cool to be drunk" fad.

I'm tired of seeing the pictures of people being idiots with the caption "I was soo wasted"

I'm tired of parties being ruined by drunk people who want to cry about their life, fight and puke everywhere.

I'm tired of it being expected of me to excuse the ridiculous behavior of people simply because they are drunk.

I'm tired of people who are drunk NEVER being unable to find their own damn way home.

I am completely through with and over this idea that being drunk is cool.

People need to grow up and assume responsibilities for their own actions

If for some reason you feel the need to get that fucked up, make sure you have a way home from where you are. If you need to get fucked up to have a good time ALL the damn time... you may need to reevaluate your life. Stop drinking in access frequently. Admit that you did something and stop blaming it on "Drunk You" as if that's another person.

Booo drunk people.
I feel ya. This girl who is one of my best friends, well we don't talk as much anymore but we've been super close all high school, is drunk every night sometimes drinks a 40 of vodka or some other hard alch to herself. It got to the point where we had to have someone from the group be her designated care taker every night. She'd be spilling shit all over the place, starting shit with everyone, hurting herself, losing her phone. Hell we even have to names for her, drunk Jamie and sober Jamie. I mean the girl is 17 and she drinks a 40 to herself on a friday night, I'm scared of the alcoholic she's going to become.

There is a law against smoking indoors in Ireland for the past 2 years.

Fuuck that I love drinking, well Love is a strong word, I really enjoy getting drunk as long as its around good people and nobody freaks out. I mostly hate aggresive drunks, why ruin the mood just because you cant handle your booze? Other than that if I'm sober and someone else is acting stupid coz of their intoxicity I laugh real real hard, its amuseing.

That's the thing, seems like most people think someone who is drunk and can't handle being drunk is "amusing" i find them to be poor excuses for adults. Of course, this is not to say it's okay sometimes... perhaps at a special occasion party, like a Bachelor's party.. but every weekend, every night to be drunk off your ass like that.... it's ridiculous.

If they light up in public here syn or indoors (after the smoking ban) you will get fined etc - if you smoke in company cars for example the company could get charged.
