lol. Chronic actually probably made me try it first. that was not the first time, just one of the earlier ones. the first time i fell asleep on the gras outside a fire station
seriously though. it's not like i just sit here and watch the im window without responding, and just... sit there. if i don't respond it's normally because a) i'm not there, or b) let's say i am focusing really hard and working in reason. i just dont let my eyes roll over the tastbar because i am busy. as if you were fucking your gf kinda busy. you are doing something and your instincts are driving you to fulfill the task, so it's as if you go into a trance and forget everything else. you are doing something that means something to you, you have a rhythm, and the hassle involved in stopping and continuing later having to get into the "rhythm" again or whatever is such a pain that it's not worth it, so instead of alt-tabbing back and forth and not being devoted to what i do, i may some times sit for a longer period of time and just use my ears to listen to slight changes in frequencies and other minor little things that i have to be focused to do. if i were to type at the same time i'd never be able to do something that i really enjoy doing.
but anyway, 85% of the time i don't respond, it's because i am physically not in front of the computer. make no mistake about it, i have been open enough to feel comfortable telling you guys which ones of you i like and don't like and i am not trying to avoid any of the people who have inqueried me about this in this thread. i have about a 100 active msn contacts, the same for aim. every once in a while someone'll im me and ask for something, a favor, a song, a movie, a link, some advice. i can only do so much in one day and lest people forget my life is about me. if i was gonna pertain to all my online contacts the way some of you may like, i would have no time to live a life.
so i ask you, seriously, just accept it and understand it instead of letting it get to you. i know i am very very likeable but please people.
