I love these photos. Ive been trying nighttime time lapse photography but I gotta drive about 2 hours out of the city to get a 'clean' sky like that

Yep. Same.

I have been meaning to purchase A telescope and get some shots of the moon, and the planets too.

Am I a geek?

that video is absolutely amazing! One downside of living in overpopulate cities.. no stars ever. Idk how far i'd have to drive to see stars like that.. so much light pollution in Chicago.

Beautiful.

I wanna try it with my camera. I got desperate in Byron Bay and physically held down my shutter release for like 5 minutes (on a tripod). The stars were visible but blurry from the natural shake of my finger. On a clear night I wouldn't have to go very far. I can only imagine what kind of lens this person used.. and how much it is. :\ eeeek.

I have a canon SLR, with the regular 18-55 stock lens, 50mm prime, 100mmL Macro, 17-85 Wide angle (which I use for these type of shots) and a 70-300 zoom
I also have some extension tubes for really close up macro stuff, which I find more interesting that panoramas, but the these dragged out shutter shots are amazing

Im looking to upgrade to a 5D once I start to get into HD video

I have a Nikon Coolpix S8000. Nothing special and it's actually my parents'. But I still use it trying to take NatGeo-esque pics in my backyard.

Here's a snapshot of one of our dogs. Her name is Lucy and she is a yellow lab. Her in her 14.2 MP bliss.

I've seen that site. Those are obviously people that try way too hard to look 'artistic'. Anyways, that dog is taking a big dump, you go girl.

That has to be one of the shittiest, most pointless Tumblrs i have ever seen.

And that's coming from someone who's subscribed to some retarded Spongebob one that makes me laugh like a little girl.

Perhaps, but then again, most tumblrs are shitty. The only one I'll visit from time to time is maleminded.

This never rang more true though: "Have you noticed how 50 girls you went to school with have set up shop as a "professional" photographer? Having a DSLR does not make you a professional photographer. "
