And now it's 4 am and I'm trying to work this out on my own.. i just wanna punch them in the face  Actually, this assignment is about working in teams! I'm gonna get an awful mark cuz of this people, i'm very pissed off right now! Don't you hate it when things like this happen? Don't you hate working in teams sometimes?

well, that's all, i needed to vent :fury: sometimes i just hate college

If its an assignment on team work, blaming things on them isnt a good start. Best to help keep them motivated even if it means taking leadership well before its due so that its not lumped onto you at the last minute. Ah well, too late now I suppose. Good luck sweety.

i hate working in groups. i always do better on my own. a couple of months ago i was doing a class where we had to do a group project, a total of 4 people, and design a recording studio and we had 500,000 to do it with.

the group was me, a guy who came off the floating door from cuba a week ago ( i know its wrong of me to say but its true), a mid to late twenties guy who shaves his head bald to hid that fact that he is balding really bad, and a big wigger from wisconsion.

it got old quick since the wigger and mr clean head their heads up their own asses all the time. the wigger and i worked on the blueprints of the studio. i had came up with a ruff draft of the studio in a few hours on the first night we started to work. i showed them my work the next day and my ideas. the wigger would hardly look at it and was like "i'm going to make my own" type of b.s. so he made his own, and it completely joked my idea. and for the first 4 or 5 days all he had done was one wall of the recording booth. i had a whole studio complete with offices, break rooms, waiting room, bathrooms, reception area, etc done in a matter of hours

a long story short i decided to retake the class at a later date, which would be this month, so i left them to do my work :D thats what they get for being stuck up and thinking they know everything.

Team works an important skill to have. I don't really mind working in a team as my Chameleon like personality can mould into a leader or worker quite easily. But I do hate it when people don't pull their weight, but am often able to resolve the issue by confronting the people in question and talking to them one on one. Or I stab them in the eye with a pencil. I'm dangerous like that

i know what u mean! most times i'm a leader, but these people just won't listen to me, and they are not kids, they are 21-22, i shouldn't have to tell them what to do every day! next time i'm definitely going to chose a better group, though i also think that i do better on my own

I feel you, I spent the last four weekends working on developing a Marketing Plan in a team. It sucked because we didn't all contribute equally and everyone has different opinions and ideas on how the project should be completed. What made it even worst was that we had to meet up outside of class and the project is worth 85% of my damn grade for this Marketing Class.

Luckily, me and Matt work really well together and we got it taken care of, since Scottie hardly ever showed up :fury:

Then we have to present it to the Marketing Dept. Staff this Thursday in business professional attire. *sigh*

I feel you, i hate oral group presentations too  Tomorrow i have one, and i don't now what the others are going to say. It's different if you're on your own, it can be a little more difficult sometimes, but at least the mistakes you make are yours, and they are not cuz other people didn't study enough :fury:

Sometimes I have to work in a team because there's too much for one person to do, I try my best to keep people motivated and eye on the prize. The one thing I do dislike about teams is sometimes as the old saying goes there's too many chief's and not enough indians.

peace.

Simple to deal with, pick out the baddest mother fucking chief of all and stomp a fucking mud hole in him. Wont have the issues with chiefs anymore, Or indians for that matter....haha

lol. A lady at work always says that to me... everyone bosses us around coz we are the newest but then again they boss each other around too, so she jokes about there being too many chiefs not enough indians - it always makes me laugh and calms me down when I'm about ready to slap someone.

Lol.. Thats good because I reckon you'd have quite a nasty slap too! Ever thought about going to a manager position? Even though I know your studies come first.

peace,

Nope. My manager tried to sweet talk me into solidifying my job by working for one of the cosmetic companies but that would be at the expense of uni. As nice as the extra money would be, I think my career is destined to go further. Besides dealing with some of the people there on a daily basis would surely beat my spirit down. haha.

As do I :thumb:, lol. Sometimes people at work attitudes can beat your spirit down. I can vouche for that, makes you want to rip your hair out at times. I miss assignements, tests and exams :( lol.

peace.
