what is it that you do?

I'm talking about flu or cold.

I know people who just sleep for days until they get well. I wish I had the ability to do that but once 8 hrs are up, I wake up. :*(

Anyway, I watch movies and avoid food that doesn't help.

It's kind of hard for me to keep drinking so much fluids when it's cold though b/c I don't feel like I need any even though my body's telling me I do.

lol @ your facebook telling a different story.
I wasn't sick that day actually. I thought I was because I woke up congested, with a headache and shaky arms.

But 4-5 hours later, the headache and congestion were completely gone and I remembered that my arms were hurting because I was playing Wii Tennis for 4 hours the night before lol.

I haven't been sick a single day this year. There's two weeks left exactly of this year and then I will have made it the entire year without getting sick at all.

Last time I had a cold was December 2008. It was a fucking NASTY one and (yay for me) it hit it's peak on Christmas Day exactly. It was a fucking bastard of a cold that lasted about 10 days total. I wanted to kill someone.

i have a cold had it for about 7 days, the usual cough and sneezing symptoms, inflamed sinus's etc. when the sinus glands swell when having a cold, they press on the nerves in the sinus cavity and it makes you feel like you have tooth ache.

i keep Vitamin C supplements to boost my immune system when i get cold and have lots of fluids. my system feels like it has gone into reserve and defence mode, appetite at the mo is way more fluids than food.

i would rather my immune system battle a cold than go see the doctor for antibiotics, my doctor tells me to have lots of fluids anyway in the event of a cold, plus i am all for holistics

i go out and spread the illness to others because i read in my psychology book that you are more likely to get over an illness or an injury if you have a positive attitude. to further this, the shared stress model taught me that if other's can 'feel my pain' then we are together more likely to overcome the problem and hence why i go out in a contagious way.

I've recently found out about the natural healing powers of garlic. My maman and my grams have used garlic in every imaginable way-- it's the old Russian cure-all. Well try crushing up a clove of garlic and rubbing them on your feet and then you are to wear wool socks to bed at night, with the crushed garlic in them, and sleep in this manner. It really works wonders, though it can really stink up the bed and your feetsies, but I mean if you wash it's all copacetic, unless you like bein stanky.
