"What's Next" questions...

#1
I have always been intrigued by this cut , especially because of the interlude "where do we go from here" on rusd.

my questions:

When was this track recorded, or for what album (if any) was it intended?

Is "What's Next" the actual title?

Is the beat the og beat?

Thanks in advance for sharing knowledge.

There is said to be evidence of a 1994 date, but the song does feature Prince Ital Joe, and Ital does mention Outlaw Immortalz, so there is conflicting evidence. lol

Why does everybody seem to think it's a '93-'94 track? I'm not saying that it isn't, I'm just curious as to why. But I do think that it is a Death Row era track, and the fact that it uses the same sample as the "Where Do We Go From Here" interlude is of no consequence.

isn't mouse man or mopreme on this track wouldnt that make this from the thug life era which would be around 94... u can't judge it by prince ital joe cuz he worked with pac on tracks like runnin' (pre-dr) but mostly death row shit like (hail mary, blasphemy, street life)... then u hear that girl singing... maybe val young (just a guess)... 99% of the time on a song with pac and a girl singing (in that style) is from dr era... my final conclusion would be taht this song is from the dr era... maybe a dk7 cut?

its obviously a dr era track, i dont know why its so difficult to get that, those 3 rappers may have been in thug life and maybe where do we go from here samples the same thing, but the fact remains that syke and mo were both in the immortal outlawz and prince ital joe was not a pre dr collaborator with pac, plus on top of that he mentions the immortal outlawz, whats left to question, its an all eyez on me session left over

^along with Komradz and maybe more

They just put the beat of What's next in Where do we go from here, just like they did with the beat of '4 my niggaz' in Fuck all y'all
lol well at least in the case of those two, they used the george benson song "just breezin" as a sample but yes thats what they did

I was under the impression that RUSD was all pre-death row music, so i just figured the "Where do we go from here" beat was done before Death row. By the time RUSD was released, did Amaru have the rights to release and make money off of Death Row's music? I thought this came a little later.
