Don't mean to be a hater but I hate when people get dog tags.
I mean, it used to be that only those in the Armed Forces would have dog tags - maybe their family members if it had been passed on - but now if you see dog tags it don't mean shit.
It used to mean that the dude has put his life on the line for something greater than himself....it's fucked up

^ no it doesn't they are still recognized and they still "mean" something, i don't know what your problem is with people wearing dog tags man.
if you hate people who wear dog tags then you must also hate guys who wear earring because they once represented wome right?
hell don't you hate gun owners? weren't weapons created for war only? now every gay person who wants to think they are cool own guns and kill each other.

i kind of agree, i mean think about a dude that went through hell and got some dog tags for putting his life on the line, he then comes back home to see a bunch of kids with tags saying shit like thug life on them.

well i don't know about you guys and where you are from, everybody i know here who owns a dog tag they don't have "thug life" they have something significant for their life, and it's just a fucking dog tag fuck!
kind of like a cross which people wear all the time, they are not suppost to be respected or adored, they are just a representation of Jesus, but i don't see you hating on those people.

A cross is a different matter. I'm pretty sure Jesus was good whether he was alive or dead (being God's son & all)> These are mortal men with families putting their lives on the line.
And Jesus didn't share a bond with Mohammed & the rest of the prophets that was instantly recognisable by wearing a cross....soldiers did.
