What makes you constantly sad?

what makes me sad is seeing my family members sad. when i see my mum is hurting it breaks my heart. when i see my dad hurting it hurts me. when i see my brother hurting i feel awful. i want to help them, solve their problems and see them happy but i can't. i feel so helpless and it kills me to see it.
