Is that true? And if it is there must have been plenty of native scotsmen here before the scoti came anyways! and for the record im quarter polish mostly scottish with a twist of irish an english!

Nah, don't get me wrong, I liked it but it was riddled with historical inaccuracies.

For example. the Princess that was Mel's love interest in the film would have been about 3 at the time the film was set.

The Battle of Stirling Bridge was a great victory for Wallace & yet in the movie there was no bridge? The bridge was the reason teh Scots won the battle & massacred an English army that outnumbered them.

Also, rather than scream FREEDOM!, when he was dying Wallace was actually reciting the bible (an important fact in the fight to have him canonised)
