UK people,may be a stupid question, but how

does one send a letter overseas, lmao i have never sent one do i just put the stamps on it to the cover cost and put in the post box, or do i have to take it to the post office, awaits sarcastic replys :D

OR look on the Royal Mail site and calculate the cost from there...then stick on the required number of stamps

I go to the post office. They tell you how much you need to pay. And you can choose to get it registered so that they have to sign.

im just gonna write air mail on it and post in post box down road, ive covered postage anyway, its only going to netherlands so not that far, too late for post office now (actually it closes at 5 but going there at this time = no chance!) thanks for help, rep orgy!

^all you do is take it to the post office and ask them, they will explain everything to you, it's their job to do so. I post a lot of stuff all the time and I used to take mine post to a obscure village post office and just do it all there but now i know what to do so i just go to town centre post office.
