both are super hot. a jj remix of mamas just a little girl also leaked. its good but not great. its the worst jj remix ive heard to date maybe, because all his other unreleased remixes were super hot. the unreleased uteot remix is sick. oh, and an alternate version of play ya cardz rite original leaked.

but aside from all this, god fucking damn the "untouchables" tune is hitting my sweet spot the more i listen to it. the beat is simplistic and obviously not finished but they were onto something. that could have been developed into a hit record, the melody is catchy as fuck. the drum pattern is ace, and when pac starts rapping the funk hits the roof.

I thought Thugz Mansion was a fake when i first heard it. But the more i listened to it the more i realized that either a) the song is unfinished or b.) the song was mixed wrong. There's alot of instrumentation in the background that can barely be heard but i guess whoever mixed this version of the song fucked with the volume levels hence why the song sounds so fuckin incomplete. Preach i love Untouchables the way it is but i'll see what i can do with it, i've been bumping that song so much in my ride since i got it. I'm actually more interested in adding stuff to Thugz Mansion, i actually have a few ideas of what to add to the song.

So you guys really like Untouchables? Wow, I thought that this songs is extremely wack. Like really, really terrible. I didn't make it till even half of that track and deleted it.

you should give it more spins.

classic anthem collabo type track, its just unfinished. check that lead synth out though. it's so hot. and the drums. imagine if this was mastered. bringing those drums out and making them more thumpy, and adding a super funky bassline that dances around that synth. i have never been so excited at the thought of how a pac track could sound in more finished format in a long time :)

hey so guys.

after all these recent leaks, not just the ones in the past few days, but say over the last year... we've heard original versions of aeom tracks and seen how they were finished, we've heard unheard originals that we never thought would leak (ballad of a dead souljah f.ex.). does anyone feel like amaru maybe didnt make such bad decisions on the remixing? they did remix a few classic originals that a lot of people loved, like play ya cards right, but all these conspiracy theories about the censored parts of "this aint livin", and the part where he goes "shady tricks" in play ya cards right, it just turns out we were wrong all along.

i just woke up but i guess what i'm trying to say is i kinda see the estate pre-lttg in a new light. why did we bitch so much back then.

^^ The DR stuff isn't so badly remixed...

I prefer the SIR beats from the retail. Killuminati is simplistic and I like it. But I remember when I got the retail I was amped by that track and had it on repeat.

But pre-DR stuff needs to be kept original. The message gets lost. Plus it does feel botched.

I didn't bitch much at pre-lttg stuff. I even loved Better Dayz. They really did well on many tracks there - My Block, Thugz Manstion (not the one with Nas though), they also left They don't give a fuck about us almost as it was which was great.
But there were a few tracks that they totally raped and I still don't know why.
Some of their remixes were really good. Maybe better than I thought after listening to tracks like Thugz Mansion. I guess their fuck up to pimp out ratio is about 1:1 though.

The main point that I dislike Amaru for is..I just wish they left some great originals the way they were.
I mean - I'm sure someone had to play an original and then a remix and compare them, right? I can't even find a possible explanation to why in some cases someone would keep really terrible remixes instead of original versions.
I have a feeling that they went for guessing what will sound trendy instead of leaving it musically better. And it was totally wrong.

I didn't bitch much about the albums that came out before LTTG. All those albums had many classic tracks, shit one of those albums even contains my all time fav. track Better Dayz. But i do have a problem when they fucked up tracks like Tattoo Tearz or how much they royally destroyed Wordz 2 My Firstborn. Also Preach, part of the reason so many conspiracy theories arose with the missing words in This Aint Livin is because alot of the tracks on the same album were censored for dumb reasons like Last Ones Left.

Yes but it lacks a chorus imo.

my favourite version of Thugz Mansion is the acoustic version with Nas. i think they did a good job with that one.
I love the one with Anthony Hamilton. It's one of my favorite 2pac tracks. Sounds awesome imo.
