correct me if i'm wrong, but the remakes of the muscle cars are all supercharged at some point...the srt 6 for the charger...the V8's in the mustangs, if not, the Cobras are...the Goat...i dunno about the Vette though....but it looks like the Challenger will have it too

there is no srt6 charger only srt8. 6 would imply 6 cylinder which the performance version isnt its 8 cylinders. there not all supercharged. only the gt500 mustang is supercharged, and the new vette will come with an ls9 which is a supercharged v8 making 650hp. the rest are N/A, save for some cadillacs which are supercharged. hopefully the challenger will come with a new 426 hemi in the future. that would be badass. about the firebird, its a possibility for now, but its not happening so far.
off topic: the chevy lumina will be coming back. i know that sounds like bad news, but it isnt. because its gonna be a 4 door, rwd, LS2 car with 400hp. its pretty much a rebadged holden, but it will be bad ass. it will make up for what the lumina always lacked, which is pretty much everything.

I just watched the commercial on YouTube. Obviously Ford is trying to make their car out to be better than it is, especially when it shows the car driving and the Porsche Carrera GT (600+ hp, 200+ mph) moves over a lane. While I think the GT500 is an awesome looking car, it's the worst-performing 500 hp production car on the planet. It's marginally faster (if faster at all) then the outgoing Cobra (which at least had an independent rear suspension) but with an extra 110 hp and costing a few grand more. It just doesn't make sense. Plus it sucks that the car is electronically limited to 150 mph, but word around is that this was done because of the car's poor 0.38 drag coefficient, which probably wouldn't allow for much more speed beyond 150 anyway. For the money, I'd rather invest it into a Corvette C6, which is faster in every way anyway.
the commercial is retarded, but the gt500 is still badass. the worst performing 500hp car though would have to go to the bentley continental gt, or any bentley for that matter. the c6 is nice, but the thing is that it has a lot of electronics holding it back, like torque management, and it isnt practical for daily driving like the Gt500 would be. because it doesnt have 4 seats and has a rougher ride. it does have gas mileage over the mustang, but thats about it. otherwise the mustang is better for daily driving. for weekend warrior, its a different story. but overall id take the gt500
yeah, thats true but that would make the mustang cost more. the mustang has always been about bang for buck, cheap cars that perform good. its the same with the gt500. 500hp for a little over 40k. thats a great deal. cause it can run the 1/4 in the low 12s at over 115mph, handle good, have a good ride quality, and be able to carry the groceries in while carrying your son around the backseat.
sure ferrari has made engines that can make that all motor with a smaller engine, but they have less torque and cost a lot more money. even an ls7 that makes 505hp all motor costs over 13k. im sure ford is capable of making the hp naturally, but they would be running themselves into a knife if they did that. because than the mustang would cost over 60k like the z06 does. sure japan has done it too but guess what, the Z-tune skyline cost A LOT of money. its possible to stuff a 5.0 liter v10 like lamborghinis thats smaller but makes the 500hp naturally. but itll cost alot of money and a torqueless engine isnt good for everyday driving, unless its a honda. or they couldve stuffed a 2.6 liter I6 TT engine and made 500hp. but that also wouldve been less torquey and would cost more. now if the mustang was an all out sports car like a ferrari, than i would say its pityful because it would cost over 300k. but it isnt. its a pony car thats supposed to be affordable for the average joe. it wouldnt be affordable if they made a N/A v8 costing like 15k for the engine alone.
and about the comparison of the C6 to the GT500. look at an evo. i like them, and dont mean to be offensive. but it costs 36k. thats not bad because it still performs good. but for like 5k more you can have yourself 500hp. the reason why i brought this up is because that would be like comparing apples to oranges. the C6 is a sports car, the GT500 is a pony car, and the evo a sports compact. so choosing in between them is only a matter of taste really. i know the C6 gives better performance for only a little more of the cost of the gt500. just like the gt500 gives a little bit better performance for more of the cost of the evo. its all preference though. me, id take the gt500. i like the c6, but they look to plain. the evos nice, but i find rwd to be more fun.
