i'm gonna step in and give you guys an outsider's opinion.
i don't really know jibster or anything, but like.. based on this thread and nothing else, i'd say everyone > jibster as far as the arguments go.
how about we all just accept the fact that we're humans, and while some of us may be on one tip, others may not. for instance, a couple of hours ago i was making a thread about being aware of how you project yourself. this is one of the founding principles by which i live, that if you make a mistake you have no right calling out others who make the same or similar mistakes. now you could quote my entire post here and post it in there, but if i do dare say so, rightousness is on my side. if people were to take up my advice, the world would be a better place. if people followed yours, well, i dunno. to me it probably wouldn't make a difference lol.
i understand that you may feel that the board is going downhill and whatever right now. we all understand you are frustrated. but unfortunately, for some reason or another, we don't share your frustration because we are okay with things as they are. everybody got something that they burn for. for some people it's politics. for some people it's animal protection. some people make a big deal about being aware of your own feelings. you, obviously, although on a smaller level, burn for taking this forum back to a previous state. saying that this is your opinion is one thing, but expecting everyone to agree with you is down right naive. of course they won't. your feelings are a product of a chain of events that you experienced, but if the rest of us didn't experience the same chain of events, how do you expect us to feel the same way you do?
evermore will people make threads about the forums current state. evermore will people think they can stirr up shit and really make a change by formulating a clever post with lots of nice punchlines that may sound like common sense in the heat of the moment. evermore will they be shot down and proven wrong. i don't understand why everybody take critique as slur. it's supposed to make you think, not get defensive. when everybody thinks you sound bitter, maybe everybody got a point?
that's just my outsider's opinion. i want to be very clear that there is no problem, jibster. for all i care you could die or get married. i'm sure if we talked we'd hit it off like most people do, but this is my honest opinion as i see it and nothing more.
