I scan the streethop news every couple of days looking to read some interesting article about hiphop but lately i've been seeing alot of violence occuring amongst our youth but yet it was a shock today to see "RIP PROOF". You know, I know rappers aren't dying daily but our youth is. I'm a premedical student, interested in Emergency Trauma Surgery and it saddens me to say that one of the most repeated cases are Gun Shot Wounds to vital organs. The research i've done indicates that everynight in the United States of America, and across the world... Thousands and thousands of victims are rushed into the Emergency Room with GSWs, Knife Wounds, Blunt Force Trauma etc... ... I mean that's just crazy. We live our lives thinking there are many tomorrows to come, but to my surprise... a great percentage of those victims were innocent, uninvolved by-standers. You can get shot crossing the street, buying a loaf of bread from the local grocery store... or for sadly... being.. a rapper.

The way to stop this is if you choose peace over violence, because though we'd like to believe it can never happen to us... it's actually happening to us every night.. every single night... and it's happening right now as we speak..

I've been a victim to violence, and been the one responsible for violence but trust me... It only ends with blood shed, and alot of regrets...

True words. But it seems preaching peace only gets you the same fate. I got shot over the stupidest reason by some people I aint even know - and thats the same shit happening to all these rappers and kids; fortunately enough though, I lived. I still feel the same though, I was never into keeping a gun until that night. I still don't like guns, I still think theyre a cowards way out of a situation - but if somebody comes at me with a gun again, Ill make sure I have a bigger gun - it aint gunna be me that goes. All these stupid ass kids running around think theyre the thuggest mafucker out there, shooting without reason or hesitation to make their nuts bigger. Fucking faggots.

Its the truth. I was waiting to go in this club 2 weeks ago and within that time two fights broke out, when I came out the club there were police outside so I guess another fight broke out. It's like that at most clubs so in one city theres hundreds of people resolving to hurt someone over something so meaningless. In America its the same thing but instead of fists its weapons which take lives like Proof. At the end of the day whatever it was WAS NOT WORTH THIS.
