Even though the Aeroscraft dwarfs the largest commercial airliners, it requires less net space on the ground than any plane because it doesn't need a runway. The airship takes off and lands like a helicopter: straight up and down.

The craft would have a range of several thousand miles and, with an estimated top speed of 174 mph, could traverse the continental U.S. in about 18 hours. During the flight, passengers would peer at national landmarks just 8,000 feet below or, if they weren't captivated by the view, the cavernous interior would easily accommodate such amenities as luxury staterooms, restaurants, even a casino.

:woah:

That seems dope, that isnt the SuperJumboJet that fits 800plus people is it?

And they need to help speed that thing up. 174/mph. that shits mad slow.

you know now that i think about it. as a person who has been on more flights this past year than he would like to have been, this might be pretty nice. plenty of space. you could walk around. you wouldnt be stuck in a 8-13 foot round hot tube with a shit load of other people.

one of the last flights i took i was stuck in the middle of a woman who had to changer her baby and an old man who shit his pants.

Speed isn't the point of it. The point is you can walk around, eat in a proper restaurant, look out the windows at landmarks etc.

It's the same reason people go on cruise ships instead of speedboats.

Think Illu nailed it, you wouldn't give a fuck about a 6 hour flight turning into a 10 hour one if it's luxury inside with things to entertain you.

Mwoah, maybe try 6 hours becoming a full day. :p They're snails compared to jetliners. But yeah like you said, who cares if you got a nice cabin and enough things to entertain?

I hate flying, but if these kind of airplanes can make you forget that you're actually on a plane then fuck it, I prefer 1 day instead of 4 stressful hours :D :p
