sunday morning hangovers

#1
was DD last night, but once we all got back I hit the whiskey pretty hard. Now I'm sitting here with my glass of water trying to figure out how I'm going to manage to do some homework.

(figured i'd try to contribute to the board instead of doing my usual lurking :-P )

dont drink a lot of sugar. it will only make ur body more dehydrated. drink lots of water and eat something.

hangover = dehydration. when you drink alcohol in large amounts, the body requires a lot of fluid for breaking it down. to combat hangovers, drink a couple glasses of water before you go to bed. that guarantees you not getting a bad one. when you already have one, water wont cure it but it will help you recover. food is good, but don't overdo it. better to eat a bit constantly than to start off with a huge meal.

thats from my experience anyway

yeah usually i'm smart about drinking water in between my drinking but for some reason last night i was on a mission to get f-ed up. ...i took a long ass shower and been drinking water. I might have to try those chaser pills one of these days in case i want to go out and i know i have to do something important the next day.

have a shower - drink a lot of water and eat something then go back to bed and sleep a couple of hours and do your work later on, maybe at night if u have to.

what works for me is to drink water b4 bed and also take tylenol or ibprofen before i sleep then i wake up feeling fantabulous

if by chance i forget to do that then i take it as soon as i wake up and eat something that will soak up the alcohol and drink LOTS of water

A big meal is the trick.

Also drink plenty of water the next day. Energy drinks are good too, but you have to dilute them with water otherwise they will just dehydrate you. (Read up on Osmosis.)

...yeah, diffusion of the water within the body due to large amounts of sodium.

And i don't know why I should stop drinking, moderation is key, but the night just went down that way.
