God. I want to say something like at least he died doing what he loved, but one of my best friends loved racing and drinking, and died from a combination of those two pursuits, so I'm really trying to avoid that at this point. I don't know. It's funny which deaths hit you hardest.

I heard that in an interview when asked bout the danger of what he does, he said something along the lines of "be happy that I died doing what I loved." Which is true, but still gotta feel for the kids.

yeah, this sucks.

i dunno why, but that "wrestling the big crocodile in the sky" comment made me sentimental lol. sucks to hear he's got a daughter, but, and i say this with all due respects, the way he acted around animals and his lack of respect for otherworldly force.. he was overdue for an accident. still sucks though.

on an unrelated note, how do stingrays kill their victims? poison or are they like electric eels? i mean to have heard of an el-stinger before.

Fatal ray stings, such as that which killed Australian environmentalist Steve Irwin (although he was not killed by the sting itself but from a puncture to the heart in turn causing cardiac arrest), are rare but can occur if stings are improperly treated, sever major arteries, or are in the pelvic region or chest.

Actually, if you ask me, i think its stupid to say if you have a young daughter sitting at home.

if i'm not mistaken, steve had two kids. one was 2 year old daughter, not sure about the other one. so that makes it even more stupid.
