You don't know where they go? At the cd player end?

Look for the wires which are paired. If there's 2 of 1 colour it probably means it's a speaker wire. The negative wire will have a white line down the side.

Is there not a way that i can connect the wires somewhere else? so i have my original speakers playing as well as my new ones? cos i will want to re connect the original speakers, so i have both playing.

The fuck. For that you need an amp but anyways, why would you want two same size speakers, one in the right place, and one laying on the floor or something, blah I'm not even gonna bother, your best bet is going to where you bought the speakers and asking them to explain this whole car stereo thing to you.
