Not all first classes go over the course outline only, and if they do. You still have readings for next class.
I already started in 2 of my classes and the 3rd we just went over the course outline, but he gave 40 pages to read for tomorrow. lol. So yeah.
Also, may I add. Universities teacher don't care about your problems. You're lucky if you find one that will sympathize with your issue, but else from that. You'll probably get a 'how is that my problem?' attitude.
Carm, I'm not sure if you're at Concordia, UQAM or McGill, but each one has a site where the teacher posts the syllabus online, and the lectures. You should be able to find whatever you missed out overthere.
