Taken on the same trip the Still I Rize booklet pic was taken on:

I met a bunch of guys who met Pac and that's crazy considering he stayed in Hawaii for a month or so just before he got shot. I heard crazy stories from a dude who had sold him clothes at the Ala Moana Center and another dude delivering pizza to Pac's place.

Well. I met a dude who claimed that he worked at GAP at the Ala Moana (the biggest shopping center in Hawaii) when Pac entered the store with his crew to try all kinds of "gay" clothes. They were trying a lot of things, laughing at how lame they looked, pretended to be silly cartoon characters and bought really a lot of those clothes - they spent like 1500$. Pac told one of his dudes to keep that "gay sweater" on, and he did just that - he went out of the store dressed "like a homo".

The other guy I met (he's 40 now, time flies) had worked as a pizza delivery guy fresh out of high school. He said that they received an order for "Mr. Shackur". He then delivered the pizza to 2pac's hotel in Waikiki, Pac went outside to personally grab the pizza. The dude was into Pac's music and Pac was happy, like "wow, I'm so amazing, they know me in Hawaii!" and then entered the lobby screaming "whoa, they know me in the islands!" a couple of times. He also left a huge tip.

I also met a dude who met Pac in Waikiki just hanging out by himself, chillaxing. He said "wow, that's 2pac" (the other guys didn't know who's 2pac) "2pac!" and Pac just said "what's up" and passed by.

That said, I don't know how true all those stories are but they sounded quite plausible. No boasting. They were mostly just replies to my "I still enjoy good hip-hop". I didn't even know that 2pac stayed in Hawaii just a couple of months before getting shot (it was apparently some time between May and July 96).

He was telling the story and said something like "he told him to try the gay sweater on" but I don't know whether it was a direct quote or just emphasizing that the clothes were so homo. It made sense in my head as I was listening, but yeah, you're right.
