UNC has a deal with IBM, and every student gets a brand spankin new Thinkpad at a discounted price (I spent about $500 for mine), so just about every single student out of the 16,000 undergrads here have one. Believe me, those kids didn't choose the Macs because of quality (in which case, the choice wouldn't have been a Mac).

My university and my Thinkpad rock Mizzou and their aesthetic processors.

You would find out through your school, not through streethop. Are you sure you go to Auburn?

Overpriced laptops. With the student discount it is worth buying one though. They take out a couple of $100 bucks w/the discount.

I have a Sony Vaio, bought it 5 years ago and it is running on its last leg. I can actually detach the screen off of the keyboard.
