Can we get a medium in here and actually ask Tupac whether he'd want to release a song which owes its chorus to Elton John? Because as nice as that sample is, it sort of shows up how ordinary this tale of hard knocks would be without it. Now I loved heyday Tupac, but just because it seems he did more rapping than actual talking (apparently there's enough unreleased material to fill six albums - that's hip hop albums mind, which normally last about five days each), does that mean we need to tag him onto anything that resembles a catchy tune, every six months? Way to water down that legacy, label people!
