The images were only published for one reason, and that is to cause conflict and stir high emotions among the 1.2 billion muslim around the world who regard the prophet (PBUH) more highly than even thier own parents. This is'nt a quastion of free speech, free speach is nothing without morality and restraint. David Irving was arrested and jailed for claiming the holocaust did'nt happen. The question of free speech did'nt cloak the matter then, wtf is it now?
As i said, free speech is'nt shit without restraint. Thats why we have laws against publishing images of peodophilia.
This is a terrible and rather extreme thing to say, but for the sake of putting foward my point of free speach not working without moralit or restraint. How would you feel if u saw published images of your mother getting raped? would you smile happily and say that the other party is only excercising thier right of free speech?

Its a matter of opinion, some people belive theres a bigfoot and some dont, just because this guy said that there was no holocaust they lock him up? thats some bullshit, i dont give a fuck how much you dissagree with what somebody says, you dont have the right to lock them up, its like that quote, Though i dont agree with what you said, ill defend to my death your right to say it, anybody who thinks otherwise is a fool, think of what it would be like if they took away the freedom of speach, id rather die than live like that.
