pozdrawiamI believe all thier saying is that it opened the door to new fans who were normally just 50 Cent or Game fans you know? Like the younger generation can sorta be ignorant to who Tupac was, so this mainstream type album, with Em producing and all, ignited an interest in Tupac by this younger kids. So what hes saying is that other hardcore Tupac fans can emerge from LTTG.
From what I know, Tupac was known for his lyrics, not his beats. He is considered the most heartfelt songwriter of our generation. His original producers have said in interviews that Eminem had done solid production on the album. I frankly don't give a crap even if I had to listen to LTTG over Beethoven music.
It wasn't a complete success. The album didn't sell as much as his past postumous albums. It got #1 because of little or no competition. It didn't sell superb its first week.

People shouldnt really think that it reaching number 1 was a massive achievment, truth is, it hit number 1 in a week with little or no competition, and probably had one of the lowest sales of a number 1 album from every album that did hit number 1, that QUEER 50 Cent did Pac's numbers for the whole week in his first day of release, hell, even 50's backing singers, Bisexual-Unit are outselling Pac on a 2 to 1 basis!

If Amaru really wanted to achieve commercial success they should have done a better job promoting the album. All they did was releasing a crappy album and an even crappier single, not to mention the video. They should have made the best of bad situation sort of speak and release more singles and videos, put those so-called rappers in them and the kids would buy more albums. There would have been more sales and this album woudn't be sucha a disappointment. It is amazing it did so well concerning the poor promotion.
Exactly, Amaru is horrible on promoting. They could've at least put some songs on the radio and made a video for a song like Po Nigga Blues. Look at Biggie's Duets. I'm sure that album may not be below or above Loyal To The Game, but they've already got about 3 songs on the radio and the damn album is about a month's time for release. Afeni should no longer have a creative say in her son's work.
Well, in a way I don't think it would be a smart marketing strategy to target a loyal fanbase. Because it's like you said, it's "loyal". Meaning they will always be around no matter what. It's new fans that are important because they can help keep tupac's name out of a certain age group or timelimit/loyal fanbase. So new fanbases can be a very positive thing for pac's legacy. And if any fans became segregated with Amaru's work over loyal 2 da game, then they weren't part of pac's loyal fanbase to begin with in the first place. The cd is bad, but I mean c'mon. If anybody decides not to listen or buy Pac's next album because of lttg, then they probably weren't real fans to begin with.
loyal 2 the game was interesting in sum wayz, but after hearing many fan made remixes of the same trax, i picked my favorite remakes/remixes. I don't believe they should of remade The title track, it spits in the face of the OG rappers on it, as do many other tracks. I just think it was stupid 2 remix a track that Pac already released his own way. Whats next? release an album called "Pour out a LiL liquor" and remove t.h.u.g.l.i.f.e.?

I doubt that. If you are an OG fan of pac, then it's safe to say that OG fans are among the loyal 2pac fanbase. Loyal fanbases remain no matter what. If Afeni promotes the next album right with the right singles, loyal fans that may be a little shaky about the album bumming might not trip that much.
