To me this whole middle east uprising stinks of CIA or similar.
Wars are never fought for civil liberties. Only for financial gain.
I don't like Gaddafi but I think his son speaks a lot of sense.
Either way. The Gaddafis are soldiers. And if the UN, or The US or Britain try to get into Libya, it won't be easy. I also think the BRitish Government showed their hand when they sent The SAS in with diplomats to meet the rebels.

It's a civil war. They should sort it out amongst themselves and I have no idea why the US wants to take sides in it. These countries need someone to hold them by the balls, just like in Iraq.
But here goes the US and their wish for democracy in countries that aren't compatible with it. They make it seem like democracy is a solution for everything.

libya is very tribal. there are still a lot of people in libya who like and support gaddafi. the thing with libyans, if it's not obvious already, is that they're quite willing to spill blood for this kinda stuff. the country is fractured, and by ousting gaddafi, it creates a power vaccuum, so the country from this point is pretty much going to hell. tho the US didn't want to bear the full responsibility so they went through the UN to distribute the responsibility.

Tragedy Khadafi is next but so far the extra "h" in his nickname did well at fooling American agents. Either that or on the 9/11 they really wanted to bomb him but targeted wrong district, and then blamed it all on terrorists. The pilot heard "twins" instead of "Queens" and bam - mystery solved.

I suppose it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Certainly it'll increase the anti-American sentiment amongst most of the Muslim countries.. as the actual (and of course fake) reports/rumors of American bombs killing innocent people begin to spread... the news reports and leaders who dislike Obama will add a bit of sensationalism and what happens? We'll end up with Gadafi looking like quite the hero. I bet even those who resist him will eventually begin to question their loyalty to said resistance.
It's hilarious as there are all of these reports saying that "There's support of this attack by most Americans" Ha! Orly? The same Americans who think North Korea is Australia? LOL The majority of people here don't know anything about Libya. The news gives half-arsed reports on genocide and America coming to the rescue. I'll admit that I barely knew the details myself until taking the time to do a bit of research.
It's quite frustrating to hear of 100 missiles being launched for roughly 1 million USD each. >.<
It's hilarious as there are all of these reports saying that "There's support of this attack by most Americans" Ha! Orly? The same Americans who think North Korea is Australia? LOL The majority of people here don't know anything about Libya. The news gives half-arsed reports on genocide and America coming to the rescue. Although I am not in support of the interference from America and Britain. On the other side of the coin, all the Muslim states and Russia were in support of the air strike, and action being taken on Gaddafi. Now they are completely opposite. They need to make their minds up. It's easy to pick the most popular argument at that time.
They were all for bombing him when he was the one posing threat, when he was locked up with his troops and it seemed like the whole "want to be free Libya" was against him.
Then when it turned out that it was a civil war and no option seems to be better than another every smart man would say that it'd be best just to leave it to them to sort out among themselves. They just need a leader they would all respect and only then there will be peace. Such leader would probably emerge during a civil war. That's how those countries work.
But America was too far into it already, they sensed business and when they do they don't just let it go away. Oil rules economy and they are taking over oil-rich countries one by one.
Also, every missile fired costs 1 million but it's much more complex than that. It's quite good for economy. And getting rid of old missiles.
But it's all under the "bigger good saviors of the world propaganda" as always.
