lol..just cuz he's in prison doesnt mean that you have to talk to em differently.
I don't talk to him any differently. I talk to him every other week....just hard to talk to someone...anyone...for 3 hours straight. After the first hour it gets kinda boring.

I don't have to be there for 3 hours but I try to stay as long as possible. Visiting is from 2-5:30...You usually don't get to stay the whole time but if it's on a day that not very many people get visits you can stay the whole 3 hours.

well, I'd ask him what up. I mean, it's not like there ain't nothing happenin there. The stories might not bee too funny and good but maybe listin to him might actually help him. U know.

Talking does not get boring after an hour. This is a friend of yours that you may never see on the outside again. You'll be very surprized how much you'll be talking about when you see him.

There's is nothing wrong with asking whats up with him and how he's feeling. The man might be going through some psychological/emotionnal pain at the moment, the least you can do is listen to some of his pain or concerns.

Good luck.

This might sound mean, but if you can't find something to talk about with a friend you feel comfortable with for 3 hours, they might not be your real friend after all. I'm sorry, but, I'm no chatterbox, and I could chill with a friend for hours and find things to talk about, without struggling to come up with topics. However, I don't understand why you have to be there for 3 hours.
