The best part about ICQ was the ability to receive messages while offline. AOL & MSN need to take a hint from the ICQ peeps and use that feature.

FUCK NO!

I used to get a 100 messages everytime I logged on, shit was ANNOYING! Thats what email is for, so they wont do that or it will effect hotmail which sends alerts to MSN right? (im proud to say ive never had a hotmail account in my life.)

If MSN did that, Id have to stop using it :S

I never had that problem when I used ICQ, but I also had a fairly small buddylist composed of my close friends and a few random people.

Although, reflecting, getting random messages like "Hi I'm 18/female/canada here's my website check out my pix!!" was annoying as a motherfucker.

I used to use Trillian, but it lacks a lot of key features (voice, video) and can just get confusing when you have huge lists.

Oh thats what that is about...! I thought it was my computer, lol!
at first i thought it was my computer also.i started playing around with the router and firewall settings.

thats taking it too far though. you cant send shit anymore.\

hey .cloud does the patch make it so if you send the other person can receive no matter what, or is it for receiving only?

I think it's for reception only. In order for it to work the other way the other person needs the patch as well.

Oddly enough I was only able to send a few files through MSN before patching it, the patch itself being one of the allowed files XD
