Children becoming rebellilous against there parents is the worst sign of a failing society. Have you heard the expression 'it wouldn't have happened 50 years ago', kids used to get put in place, despotism is needed for children but that's love not tyranny, like a mother squeezing her child, that's not cruelty it's a 'mothers hug', would a mother really hurt her child physically?
It's arbitary behaviour like this of the girl that signifies an inversion of reality in society (it is very common these days), right become wrong, wrong becomes right, high people become low and low people become high. Doing good is a negative thing doing bad is a positive thing etc. Can anyone argue that society is not failing?

You're blaming society, but that's an excuse. It has nothing to do with a parent trying to control outside influence. It has everything to do with a parent teaching their child what to do with that outside influence. You have a choice of raising your own child or letting society (the bad things) raise the child for you. Synful said it best.

How can any parent be expected to control what happens outside the house hold. Sure you raise a child with values and morals but you can not control all influences in his/her life. You never know the whole story, so you can not judge this situation. You just know what the media tells you, and how it looks on the outside.
Look, you do your best and hope your seed knows right from wrong. But in the end, you can't be blamed if your child ends up a screw up if you did your best. Most parents struggle with work triying to provide for their families,Many single Moms have to work two jobs to be able to sustain their children's most basic needs... Sometimes, FOOD outweights being there all the time... there's just so many situations in which the Parent is doing everything he/she can but it's not enough because life hasn't dealt them the best hand...
You can NOT control how your child will become, children spend more time at school, with friends, going out than they do with their parents... A child can get screwed up from the kids at school and when a child is young... he/she doesn't know right from wrong as well as an adult does.. so any other source could be influence the child's failure...
Just don't judge the situation, you simply don't know the whole story. We are products of the enviroment we live in. If we were around our parents 24/7, then we will be a product of our Parents only.. but we go to school, we see 100s of people in school... friends, bullies, girls we like, girls that reject us guys that reject us guys that like us... people that try and sell us drugs, friends that slip us porn. the next door neighbor, the creepy old man who lives on the fifth floor... I mean Parents are but one influence in a child's life... You can NOT control ALL aspects of a child's life, it is simply not in YOUR capaiblity.

And it is the parents responsibility to make sure the child does not get screwed by kids at school, to teach the child from right and wrong, to reject drugs, to say no to porn and get a girl or boyfriend, and don't talk to strangers. Now is that so hard? No its not. Always start at childhood when they haven't been exposed yet if you want to teach your child something. Parents always try to teach their child something when the issue occurs, the biggest mistake of parenting. This mistake gives the result of a "rebel."
Now the teenager will still go through all of this even tho the parent said no. But you want to make sure the teenager is conscious about what they're doing. Make them smart.

:thumb: Thats the truth right thurrr! Problem is alot of kids now hell even some of you 14 an 15 year olds on here have never had a good ole fashion ass whoopn. Too many parents are too pussy anymore scared that they'll find themselves facing child abuse charges for spanking, even though the law says its legal as long as there are no visible marks after 30 min, thats what the law states, now im not advocating beating children, but as a parent of 2 myself one boy an one girl, my kids catch whoopins on the regular. Yes all kids become rebellious in their teens, but theres a difference between rebellion an lack of respect, was I rebellious as a teen? Sure but i was also respectful, to this day i have never been arrested, never done "time" never even had a damn ticket, why? because of respect even though i may not always agree with my parent ( was raised by a single mother) i respect her an what she did. These damn kids now have no disipline in their lives, fuck that time out shit, theres no time outs in the real world. Everytime i even thought about doing somthing stupid i'd remember those whoopins, shit made me think twice. Thats my rant peace
