I just wanna know how many people here on the music hustle right now? I know Militant is, Ghetto is, Eric is, anybody else?

Listen guys I really want to get the music portion of the forum popping, with a new name (open to suggestions), tutorials, etc etc. I got some dope ideas for that section but I need the current musicians support to attract new people.

Who doing what right now?

I do, but I have a real job that interferes with it. More so in the past 6 months than before. Although, with inspiration with a makeover of the said forum, there could be a change. And I'll also teach Rizzle how to progress in beat making.

i've been making music for awhile, i just never had an interest in really posting it on the board, except once a few years ago i posted some remixes i made, non tupac related, and just wanted to see what people thought of how i flipped the songs i sampled. and there was a time i chopped up some drunk voice messages eric left me and put them over this really put together electronic sounding beat i made in pro tools. other than that i have never really felt a need to post anything i make on the board.

i mainly just focus on mixing now more than making beats. keeping up on my tricks, improving on my skills, learning new tricks to make that boooooooom

If you create a new section, I will give advice where I can.

I gave a talk on the industry at a University here a few months back, all the students really appreciated it. They wanted to know about royalties, representation (management/lawyers/agents/PR companies), majors vs indies, common pitfalls etc etc etc.

I'm sure between a few of us here we could make an interesting section for people wanting to know about life as a professional musician/working in the music industry.

I do as well, but my job and our own projects take up too much of my time sometimes. Ruk i still even owe you a beat for shits sake. Puff maybe me and you can get a Pro Tools manual going in which we can go thru the basics of using it to produce, record, and even master.

no i haven't, who makes the plugin? is it tdm, vst, rtas,au,etc?

i like the pro tools idea, i don't think many people on here use it outside of us, but maybe this could sway people into using is for their DAW :D

I'll PM you with a link.

Pro Tools is the shit though. My cousin switched from Logic to Pro Tools about 18 months ago and ain't looked back. Don't have it myself yet at home but I don't need to right now since I'm at my cousin's studio all the time.

I think the fact that it's a hardware/software combination puts people off - well, those that are hobbyists as opposed to working professional musicians, anyway.

you dont know the first thing about mastering music so do everyone a favor and never say you master music again
ill say whatever i want to say so suck my dick bitch. you had to take a damn course to learn the basics ... i learned it just through asking questions and messing around. imagine how well i would do if i took a course? don't under estimate me im not who you want me to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rahim became rich. Bullied people with shitty childhoods tend to become rich and famous.
