Baby blue shirt and bright tie, or a yellowish white shirt with a flashy tie, not too flashy though.
Once you get the shirt, you can easily find a tie to match.
A striped baby and white shirt sounds nice, too.

Dude.l.. If it's a formal i'd recommend a euro shirt (french cuts) with the big collars. They may be a little more expensive but they are nice. Because you are wearing such a black suit u want to wear something brighter to provide contrast.
Don't wear white, everyone does that. Wear something like... light brown (if your skin is tanned), light pink, light blue is too businessy... umm... if you wear white don't wear plain white, wear a checkerd white. with tie, it's easy to mix and match.

actually, what's your skin color like, are u white (blonde hair blue eyes), mexican, asian, black, arab, italian... whats your ethnicity. it will help with me giveing u an idea of what to wear.

dude... then you've got it going for ya. here are some links to some good formal wear. Australian.. but gives u an idea. remember in a formal, you'll take your suit jacket off at some point (don't leave it on), so your shirt does have to be a nice fitted cut. With ties, i need to see the shirt on to recommend a good tie. But your best bet is ASKING the store owners what tie goes with it. Don't go to kmart to shop for your clothes... go to a proper clothing shop. I know your tight for money... but there are good clothes that aren't so expensive.

a nice tie combo

the style of shirt that looks good at formals is this.. the big collar, with a nice good quality tie... looks great

do NOT wear pink. pink had its 5 minutes and people look like idiots now that it's 60 minutes later.

buy a good poplin or similar shirt with some shine to it, and buy a tie that brings it all together. a lot of people match tie to shirt, which isn't something i'm a fan of but it's in style right now.

what really matters is that you buy quality (you can spot a cheap, off the rack suit and a $10 shirt a mile away), and buy enough variations so that people won't see the same "dressed" up uniform on you for every event.

yeh deffo dont wear pink!!!...salar has got some good ideas flowing there
i also think black shirts and a white tie look cool...altho maybe there'll be too much black then!! you could try a white shirt with like a light blue pattern or something then a blue tie
white silk ties are always a good option
o make sure its a long sleeved shirt...no short sleeves!!!! not good!!!

peace xXx

anything goes with black. just remember that and you'll be fine. matching a tie with the shirt will be the hardest part, but even that is easy. but like keco said, go to macys. you can get really good deals cheap. i use to work at one. i have alot of hot formal shirts and ties. unless you dont have a macys were you live.

as long as u got mad confidence homie. it doesnt matter wut u wear. ull look dope
spoken like someone who wears jeans to a $75/plate dinner.

how you dress is one of the first things people read about you. it's cool to be casual, but everyone has to dress up sometimes - be it for a real job or for special occasions.

When u got money, invest in a charcoal 2 button pin stripe suit. (or any 2 buttoned suits). They are awesome to rock.
I'm going to an interview now, and i look too damn good :p

oh i kno bout that man. its nice to dress up and all dat. friday nites to clubs n shit. he seemed like he wasnt into dat much and i thought it really didnt matter to him.

so i was just giving him sum real quick info u kno.
i hear you. my thing is that it seems like some people are actually afraid to dress up. i like jeans and shit, but some real pants are more comfortable and you look like money. drawback is you gotta iron like a slut, but that's nothing some beer won't help you get through.

^^true true..i remember when I was younger I used to hate dressin up for anything. and i used be "affraid" of dressin up too.

shit it be like less hood and everything. i dunno where your from. but growing up in van nuyz..it would really stand out everytime sum1dressd up.
which is why rappers finally caught on that even if you can't rap out of a wet paper bag, a suit makes you look like a success. half of scarface's image was from him being one of the first rappers to dress like what he has in his wallet.

i don't mind standing out by my (good) clothes. if anything, it's a power thing. some mall fag isn't going to give you lip.
