Just saw this version, i didn't even know that there was a clean version. It just sounds different especially at the end.

The clean version acapella was used for the Hit Em Up Nu-mixx.

It sucks how the Hit Em Up single didn't come out (the one with Biggie on a pig and Puffy on a snake) because then we would probably have the instrumental and acapella.

Is that info legit cos I remember a friend telling me about that way back but thought it was just rumours

I believe it was on the hitemup.com rare facts page.
Do you remember how Dante posted up the article about "Let's Get It On" being one of Pac's last recorded songs? In the same article, it has Spice 1 talking about that. I just moved this past week, and I found my October 1999 issue of VIBE, here is what it said addressing that:

Pac had a little mansion in the hills. We went up there and that's where he first told me about the song "Hit 'Em Up." He was mad as fuck. The [original] cover of the single had Puffy's head in a snake's body and Biggie's head with a pig's body.

He would've probably released the single with just the instrumental. Acapella? 2Pac?, aw hell naw!! :p
