No no...! That salute was first used by the roman army.. thats where the nazis got it from... but its true, thats how officials in mexico greet...

Anyone watched the Confedaration Cup in Germany? Thats what they players were doing while singing the mexican National Anthem.

While we're on the topic, I like the Roman salute. Obviously I can't do it because of the connotations it carries, but of all the salutes in the world it's probably my favourite.

Same here. It sucks the Nazis ran with it first (after the Romans). Its not even known as the Roman salute anymore.

I'd love to be able to do the salute at any time, but history...you know the story.
