Gunpowder Plot

#1
Right now I'm watching a program in which Guy Fawkes' failed gunpowder plot will be recreated, for fun, to see what would have happened.

This seem a little morbid to anyone else? Recreating a bomb attack, to see what might have happened had it not been foiled? Will people in the future be recreating the 1993 WTC attack, to see what would have happened if the North Tower had fallen?

Why do we view Guy Fawkes as a bit of a folk hero, the Gunpowder Plot as a nice story, rather than a terrorist attack?

Fuck Guy Fawkes so what he tried to blow up the house of parliament. And failed might I add. Why should he be praised for this every fucking year. These are the kind of things that makes me rejoice how dumb humans are as a whole.:thumb:

Ever stop to think that maybe Guy Fawkes night isn't a way of praising him? You know, considering we light bonfires and burn effigies of him.

Guy Fawkes' Night is a celebration of the FAILURE of Fawkes to assassinate King James, not a celebration of his intent.

Yes, yes so why should he be remembered at all fuckin moronic people. Hmm i wonder if some one were to go back in time and tell Fawkes. That he has been immortalised in history. By idiotic people who celebrate his failure every year.
