I don't know what goes off outside England very much with regards to youth culture, and I aint one to criticize. But is it the same everywhere round the world people dressing only in black, growing their hair long, piercings and cult symbols etc etc..? The so called Goths.

When I was growing up it was all Adidas and Nike, baseball caps and sportswear.

Is it just the music influence that has caused this popular trend of fashion (if you can call it that) or ........ I don't know. Either the price of washing powder has gone up over the past 5 years or I guess black is just popular.

It's a music-based culture, just like hip-hop or punk. Just because they dress differently and listen to different music, people are quick to judge.

there basically the same as the people in the hip hop culture, dissing them for the way they look and dat shit is fucked up, u might as well diss hip hop culture becuz hip hop and goth is very similar, its all bout people having an intrest and forming a comunity and they show that community by wearing, baggy jeans ,long shirts or leather pants,black clothes.

People beg to be stero-typed. Most of the time, you can tell how a person acts just by his clothing. Dressing in all black is fine, so is being a goth. But when your beliefs lead to a killing spree or illegal cults being formed, then there is a problem. Do whatever you want homie but just remember, fuck up society and end up locked up or dead.

not really, when i see a 15 yr old white kid with clothes so big on him you could fit 3 of him inside, walking with a limp, saying stupid slang, they stand out way more then a goth to me

What makes me angry is that they claim to be 'individual' when there's a million of them skulking around. Hmm not very individual is it to dress the same as a mill other people and your favourite music idol. The irony sickens me!!
