When yall hear American movies or American songs/rap songs or whatever the case, does our accent bother you? Can you guys get past it?

I only ask because (I'm hoping my American people on this board can agree too) when I listen to foreign songs or movies or anything with non American accents, I tend to focus on the accent only. Like I'm like hmm, I wonder if they feel what I'm feeling right now and etc.

I mean, I guess it doesn't have to be just foreigners only cuz when I go down to the south or talk to lansky or puffy or eric, their thick accents get me like "lool, weirdos" and ish.

Anyways, discuss.

PS: Nobody ever knows what Lansky says, possibly cuz he is old :( But he does say flodge alot. WTF is flodge?

Being from an English speaking country, we dont really notice it. Sure we can tell you are american. We have alot of American shows so we are used to it I guess. Also we have loads of races in our country, also we have alot more regional accents than america.

What does piss us off is your spelling, its lazy.

Lol, sure we have a lot of diversity and shit here too, but like I was watching the crocodile hunter (RIP) on t.v. and I was just like paying attention to his accent and the way he says shit. It was funny :(

I just thought if yall saw it like that too.

Prize, weren't you born here or something? Am I confusing u with somebody else? (ps: i replied to ur PM).

I grew up on American and British television and music so no. I dislike the dutch language so I rarely watch or listen to dutch television and music.
I don't mind watching foreign movies, as long as the subtitles are good. I usually can't stand a foreign accent in rap.

You fucking idiot, I am an American and I have an American accent. How the fuck can this apply to me and how the fuck can I be bothered by my own accent. In fact, I am bothered by all non-American accents.

You stupid fuck

ps: I still love you

No, my great grandfather came to england from america just after WWI. Most of his desendants went back to america. Most of My Direct family included. I have many full blooded american family members. My step dad is American also.

I can't stand americans talking on the streets but I also grew up on English-American movies/music and went to American school here so I enjoy listening to American accents in hip-hop or movies. American hip-hop sounds cool. It's not that I hate all other accents but I don't like east european ones, italian, french, german etc. but I like Spanish or Jamaican tho.
oh and I forgot about Asian accents OMG I can't decide but it's soooo funny. There's nothing more funny than chinese guy saying "Fuck you" lmao

^^^Taxi...good movie... i didnt really like the thrid one, but the first two were amazing. especialy the 1st one.

Anyways... I love accents and I really like to speak to someone who has one.

Of course, there is exceptions.
For instance :
->British trying to speak french.
->Asians trying to speak any other language than theirs.
->Arabian accent when they speak English.

I love the different accents in English. English has a nice tone to it, its probably because of that that the songs in english sound the best. My personal fav accents in english : Irish and Scottish.
