i didn't do college, worked my way up the retail ladder and now i am in retail management...nothing exciting but i make a living, have 2 2005 cars and a new house, so i guess i am doing ok. my wife works in a legal office so i do have double income though, but she also had no college.

graduated and ain't learn shit in school still. i'll be honest, i've only got an eighth grader's education academic wise probably. the real lessons for life don't come round till after high school. when you're booted from the graces of protecting underage laws and thrown into the real world jungle as fresh meat. that's when "school" is in.

alotta that shit you kids is crammin for, it ain't gonna do ya any good out here. half of that shit isn't even how things actually went down in history. all those crazy ass math problems, you'll never see that out here. bullshit quotes from dead folks with names you can't pronounce, useless on a resume.

i say pick what you want to do in life for the next 10, 20, or even 40 years. and try to get as early a start on it as possible. you've got plenty of time between essays, skipping class, and prom. so no major rush.

as for me....
trade school, combination welder that said fuck another four year stent. just gimme the money.

I dropped out of high school in the 10th grade because school was interfering with my education. I've been living in a box underneath an overpass downtown having just previously moved from a box located over an underpass, but I kept getting run over by cars and killed and while being dead was not so bad and really cheap, I opted for the underpass location, life, and less traffic.

I got expelled from school at 16 for allegedly selling weed. (I was selling weed, but I never sold any to the kids that told the staff I was selling it... lil bastards)

Anyway then a few months later I went to jail for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill (read: attempted murder) , got out on bail, got convicted of affray, got put on probation.

Then I started recording tracks with my cousin who is a famous producer, and we re-formed the band Swami, released an album "DesiRock" when I was 17, it sold shitloads independantly, we toured around the world, supported the Beastie Boys amongst loads of other shows.

Then when I turned 18 we started writing the new album, as well as re-doing the entire first album, with live instruments, and with me replacing all the vocals from the other MC that got kicked out, as well as re-doing all my ones, and we did a deal with Sony to release that in India. Then we toured India and did a $80,000 video for the lead track "DesiRock", then we headlined at the MTV Style Awards which is one of the biggest awards shows in India.

Oh, and I also bought a house and got a mortgage with the money I made off the UK release in 2004.

Now, I'm about to turn 19 (on Feb 11th), and we're in a bidding war with several major international labels for our next release, which we're hoping to get finished by the end of Feb, and get it released internationally by May, followed by a UK tour in June, and a world tour in July/August.

Fuck school, follow your dreams.

I went to college, i lasted 6 months and dropped out cos i was offered a full time job. I hated it, college really wasn't for me.

Never did me any hard, i have a good job that pays well and plenty of experience, which i have found (in my experience) employers are more interested in than qualifications
