But I'm a dick sober or drunk so don't blame licencing laws.
that there is a very valid point lol. the people who normally get in fights around here do it whether or not they are drunk. maybe moreso and with greater ease when they are drunk, but there are those kinds of people who go out for the sole purpose of getting into it with someone. out of the people that i know, or know of, there are those who go out and drink steadily and keep it at a proper level throughout the whole night. there are those who get pissed beyond imagination every single time, and stay that way until they wake up the next morning. some times they hit the bars and clubs, some times they go to a private party. some times they keep drinking all the time, some times they don't. no matter how much they drink and at what time they drink, they still either keep it cool or get into it with people. i've seen damn near sober guys brawling, and i've seen people who couldn't hit whoever they were in a brawl with because they saw double. i doubt that extending the license will result in a major change in violence statistics. it is possible, though, that the police would have to work harder to keep everything in check.

lol

that's not really a fair comparison, at all. don't get me wrong, i see no reason why they should stop serving alcohol after 11. but that comparison much reminds me of my own comparisons, which are equally bad :D

over here they usually stop to sell it at 3am but that's got nothing to do with the law.
Nope man. To think that closing time can stop beef and fighting or drinking is bullshit, so is my comparison and therefor it's valid.

I go for the atomspehre, just cos i don't drink am i expected to stay at home???
U can go there but don't complain that's what Pittsey said and he's right. If you can't accept it you gotta stay at home, if you don't like it but can live with it, go there.

^ ok fair enough, i have already said i accept it, i just wasn't sure whether his comment was aimed at me or not :)
It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. I commend people who don't drink. But in all honesty if I drink I have a much better time, especially if I get slaughtered.

But all I was implying was that people know what to expect when they go to a pub. They can't complain. Either get over it, or stay at home.
