If I look at all those pics people post of themself I never ever saw someone with rasta or dreads - in my whole tp career, and that is a while. Does noone have love for dreads these days? Who got dreadz/rastas - raise your hands, let's unit.

I got my dreadz back the other day, and took a pic of my shadow for ya all - that's what it looks like.

i had em in year 8 or 9
all i remember was my hair was dirty as fuck and it was too much maintainance. It was fun though. They weren't too long either so they were just perfect

Bah, summertime calls for short hair. That and i'm white so dreads and rasta cuts are difficult and look silly :p

Black people are lucky on the hair front, theres so much cool shit to do with it. A proper Afro is the dopest hairstyle ever :)

But that said, its summertime and a lot of hair isolates too much. It overheats me.

thats tight as hell. i have enough hair for dreads, i just don't know what i'd look like with dreads... but one of these days, imma have me some!

lol @ Menace taking a pic of his shadow!

Dreads are ok but people have to take care of them to a certain extent, or else they get stinky and ratty..... and there's nothing to love about that.

last summer at bonnaroo, i was getting bored watching bob dylan so i decided to catch string cheese incendent. during the show this really cute blonde with dreads was dancing in front of me. i was going to try to talk to her and spark up a bowl or two, but then i got a nice wiff of her hair. that shit was stanky! it made me remember why i decided not to put my hair in dreads.

I seriously can't imagin The_One with dreads, do you have any pics?

Duke - yeah blacks have of course better hair but just cause oyu're white doesn't mean you can't get dreads at all - you gotta live with that summertimes thing through, cause dreads are nothing you could get that easy. First you gotta let your hair grow, the work on the dreads and after they're done it takes a while, you gotta let them grow, dreads are almost never really finished.

Eh yo Limn - you had dreadz before?

Mark - well there'S only one way to find out how u'd look like, yo ureally can't say before. U just gotta let your hair grow a lil before oyu can do them. And it takes a while, believe me that, it takes a while.

Amara - if u'd be on msn every now and then I might show you a pic of my head and how it looks like actually. :D

Adn well peeps, I know dreads can smell but they don't have to.

I'm a lil surprised that some got in fact love for dreadz. :thumb:

I don't like to call them dreads there is a history behind that, I'd rather just call them locks. Anyways I think you should start when your hair is short then keep locking it as it grows, its much easier and faster IMO. I was going to get locks but i was always too lazy to get some bee's wax. The only thing about getting locks i don't like and i feel sorry for females who do have locks, you have to cut your off when you don't want them anymore. I'll get my locks when i'm unlazy

Well, you're right that there's a history behind dreads....but dreaedz is just the short form of dreadlocks so to coll them locks doesn't really help. ;)

Anyway, I wouldn't use bee's wax man - do you have any expirience with locks or would it be the first time for you to get some? If it is, do some research, bee's wax isn't good for your hair, you rather buy dreadwax in a store.....or you do it all natural like I did it - all you need is a sister and lots of time haha.
