So who here on the board is a confident person? The type of person who willingly goes up to women/men at bars and starts conversations, isn't scared to tell people their bad habits/sides? Is themselves, chin high shoulders straight always going foward?

Anyways purpose of this thread is, cockiness and confidence has a very thin line in between them. Which one are you most of the time? Ive got to say im very confident, slightly cocky. I don't think i'm the best but I do think I can do my best.

peace.

You're right to think that. j/k
Seriously I'm very confident too, that's an advantage most of the times and a disadvantage at times. But being true to you is the best you can do as a human being.

I'm usually perceived as cocky because of my lack of confidence at times. It is the most ironic thing.

When it comes to your question, I'm not cocky and certainly not confident in the sense that you described it.

It can be in any way not just the way I described it.

i'm confident and often cocky but just to be humorous.
i'm the same way. i act cocky/arrogant sometimes but i'm normally just jokin around. i like talkin to people so i'll start conversations with anyone, whether it's the hot girl at the bar or the homeless dude on the street.

I wouldn't say I'm cocky. But have been called that at times.

I'm just honest, if I think a girl fancies me or wants to sleep with me... I'll tell her.

And I have no problem chatting to girls in bars/clubs.

I usually keep a lot to myself though, which can also be perceived as shyness. I'm quiet and prefer to sit back and watch people... Until I know them.

I have been cocky before, but that doesn't make me or anyone else a cocky person. I am confident about things, maybe a little over confident sometimes, but other times I don't have any confidence at all.

But we all learn from these things, and move on, and grow up...you knowww......

I'm not usually cocky at all although maybe I have been a little at times on here. lol. As for confidence, it's harder to answer. I am in some sense - I believe in my ability but I am not very forthcoming in showing it. I'm more confident in myself professionally rather than personally. I rarely approach men and I dont always share my opinions but that is more of an indication of how I choose to express myself not what I think or feel. I wonder what people who know me would say and whether I give the impression of confidence.

I liked that one quote from Pride & Prejudice(yes, I watched it...and enjoyed it).

The guy went something like, "I have no talent in conversing with people that I have not met or seen before."
