Yeah, I don't understand why his thread was closed, I thought it was a good question. Plus, Pittsey didn't explain why, he just made a sarcastic comment. So Pittsey was rude and he's being rude back, what's the difference?
It was a dumb thread that no-one could answer. If he made a post in letter to the president and the majority wanted it open I would've done. But I believed it was a waste of bandwith.
Pittsey made a judgment call, if you or anyone else wants to question it, do it in an appropritate manner. I dont think there is any reason to suggest his mod status should be revoked over such a minor incident.
