I was reading over some Spice 1's interviews and I read Spice 1 gave this song to 2pac, if so, is there a Spice 1 version and for those who don't believe this Spice 1 quotes his song in one of his music videos from the 1980's.

i don't believe it. the credits only show pac as writer, plus (being a huge fan of both artists) the song sounds nothing like a spice-1 song. i'd like to know more about what video you claim, because i have them all and will check for myself - but i have to say that i don't believe a word of this.

Ive heard this before but questioned it because it (IWIHGAG) has some similar lyrics to Changes and therefore did Spice write that as well. Maybe he came up with the concept but not the lyrics, beat and so on

He quotes his song in the song "Welcome To the Ghetto" now the only way Im wrong if I mistakenly thought this song is from the 80's (Also you need to hear the whole song to hear the strong quote from I Wonder if Heaven Got A Ghetto)

We'll maybe Spice 1 gave him the song and 2pac remade the song into his own style quoting a few of Spice 1's words

obviously Spice 1 didn't rap IWIHGG becuase it wasn't his style but he still wrote it. Thats what I think could've happen.

But now the street is a place you could be swallowed by death
Brothas takin each other's lives
And goin to REST IN PEACE
I wonder if heaven got a ghetto
My cousin died last year
And I still can't let go
I walk the streets of my city of my neighborhood

lol you must be on crack if you think his using this phrase means he wrote 2pac's song. maybe you're new to west coast hip hop, but this is a common theme. the ONLY thing this song has to do with 2pac is that he sampled it in pour out a little liquor. end of story.

well I understand one thing Dante, that is you like disrespecting people when you have the chance.

Well here is the written interview of Spice 1 where he says he gave the song to 2pac

lick ass.

now back on subject, i still don't believe it. if they were his words he'd be credited. again, the song sounds nothing like a spice-1 song. maybe he was there and consulted, but no way he gave it to pac verbatum. i have already sent an email to spice-1's manager to ask about this so we don't have to assume all day. ok?

just because he samples a clip of him saying "i wonder if heaven got a ghetto" doesnt mean he "made" the song "for" 2pac or whatever your trying to get at

That was another high point in my career too when Tupac did "I Wonder if Heaven Got a Ghetto". Those was my words and shit.
Tally i think Spice may just be referring to the fact that Pac used those exact words and wrote a song from it. In other words the idea of IWIHGAG was derived from that exact line in one of his previous songs.
