Yeah!! If you're thinking about going to see one, go for it. It's well worth it. I'm planning to go soon.
I don't see my stepbrother very often (once or twice a year if that), but one time about 18 months ago he came round to my place and brought one of his friends with him. His friend had just finished his training and got his qualification to be a professional chiropractor.
I've had neck and upper shoulder muscular problems for years, I'm always having to crack my neck both ways, I have to do it like 3 or 4 times a day. So I asked him to to take a look.
He grabs my head from behind and says to totally relax. Then, he contorts and twists it into about three different places on either side, and I heard about 3 or 4 "cracks" for each one of those times. It was amazing, cos I usually only get two or three total on a daily basis. Obviously because he was trained he knew which areas to pinpoint etc.
The best way I can describe it afterward is that I just felt lighter. Like significantly lighter, as if I'd been walking around with big weights on my shoulders and someone had lifted them off for the first time.
I felt sooo much better for about 3 to 4 months before it was back to how it was before. I've been meaning to go and see a chiropractor for ages but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Definately, definately worth it.
