Chicago High School Death

I'm sure by now most of you have seen or heard about this.

Shit is sickening.

Here is the video. It's bad. He's the one that gets hit twice at first in front of the camera, then later you see him being murdered(he's blurred out). Dude came up and hit him with a railroad tie, savages. It's crazy, sickening.

My point of making this though to see what people thought about what Nas said about it.

Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong wars! Killing each other is definitely played out. Being hurt from the lost of a love one was never cool.

Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong war! I know that feeling, that frustration with life and needing to take it out on someone, any one. But....

We chose the dumbest things to go the hardest for. I remember seeing deaths over 8 ball jackets, Fila sneakers, and name plate chains. Deaths over "he say, she say"!!!!! "I'm from this block or I'm from that block", or "my moms n pops is f*cked up now the whole world gotta pay"!!!

I remember feeling like I was the hardest "n*gga" breathing. And I couldn't wait to prove it. But let's think. What are we really proving?? And proving what to who?? Everybody knows Chicago breeds the strongest of the strong but I just feel, me, being ya brother from another state feels your pain as if I grew up with you in ya very own household.

You have the ability and mindpower to change they way we are looked at. Look who's watching us young warriors, look who's throwing us in jail constantly, look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Loving to bury us in the ground or in jail where we continue this worthless war on one another.

Young warriors.... We are WASTING more and more time. We gotta get on our jobs and take over the world. Cuz this movie left the theaters years ago, Juice, Menace, Boys n the Hood , Blood n Blood Out, Belly!

When we see each other why do we see hatred? Why were we born in a storm, born soldiers, WARRIORS....and instead of building each other up we are at war with each other.. May the soul of this young person find peace with the almighty. I'm with you young warriors. You're me and I'm you. But trust me! you are fighting the wrong war.

This sh*t sucks !!

Holy fucking shit that is brutal.

It reminds me of the killing in Brazil of a pedophile. The whole community just stood there and watched as men belted him to death with planks.

now, I'm all up for killing a pedophile who rapes a 3 year old, but a 16 year old boy? For fuck sake.
These faggot's aren't gangsters. Jumping on someones head while they lay there unconscious, yeah.. real tuff.

look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down.
Exactly. This certainly does not help that cause.

^He was walking home when he got surrounded by the gang fight.. Both sides attacked him, I'm assuming they assumed he was from the other gang. From what they are saying he was not affiliated. Wrong place, wrong time.

The guy talking on the video makes me sick.

^^ Whats even more messed up, is that BOTH sides attacked him.

The first group knocked him down then the second group (who the first group was fighting) finished him off

Wow, talk about a bunch of savages. You'd think they'd then understand that the gang shit is overrated, especially if they'd can't even distinguish one from another and kill an innocent kid.

hizzle these kids aren't being raised by mothers or fathers. Vakill(a rapper lol) went to that high school. He said these kids parents are crack addicts and not in the childs life. The streets raise these kids, gang life is what they know. The problem is deep.

And members in the black community still wonder why they ain't got their shit together.

Shit. The fuck you think?
Brutal but, honest. That's just the f!@#$%g truth. Nas didn't have to write all that, you summed it up and got the reality of the problem across.

Man, if there has ever been a clearer example of a pointless death, look no further. I don't know why the person holding the camera is so excited about everything he's seeing. He didn't even seem to care whether the kid was alright when everybody else was picking him up and screaming.

What Duke said is more powerful directed to people like us. What Nas said (hopefully) is more powerful to the kids who did/do this.

Aye, as for hoping to reach the problem youths, Nas will stand a much better chance than random Dutchman on a messageboard. :)

It's just that, besides the obvious tragedy, reports like this just bum me out. You can listen to a hundred inspirational speeches and think "maybe they're on the right path now". But then you see this and you know, it hasn't changed shit. They're still killing each other over nothing.

Ofcourse, he is a famous rapper and you are NOBODY! .. :cheesy: I was speaking to the words themselves not the likelihood of them being heard.

In every country there is shit going on that is tragic, that is not meant to take away from what happened to this boy. If we were to take on all the bullshit that goes on we would be depressed empty shells..

Indeed, but this specific case carries so much hypocrisy and double entendre's, it's worth pointing out imo.
