Car Speakers.

I have 98 expedition.I'm looking to buy good speakers that will have good sound quality,i'm more interested in sound quality than bass.Need two pairs and looking to spend between $200-400.

Is bestbuy a good place to buy?I thought about buying there but i thought i'd check other places on the net that might have better speakers.

Also,i was at shop and i was told i needed to replace cd player as well if i was to get new speakers (not that its not working).I have original factory made 6 cd changer.Would i really have to change cd player?

You know, i find you very miserable.I think you are very miserable human being because only thing that comes out of your mouth towards me is negative. You trying to hard to downplay me but it ain't working.I feel pity for you.

Anyway, i just came back from store and found out that theres really only two speakers i can choose from.98 expedition fits 6x8 speakers and there are only two types available in all stores.

These two:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...akers&lp=8&type=product&cp=1&id=1134702498983

Are they good speakers though?260 watts and 50 rms?And i was told again yes i have to change the cd player for new speakers to have the sound its made for.

best buy isnt a bad place to buy from but to be honest i would just buy from cruthfield. installing speakers aren't hard unless you had a factory bose system in the ride. cruthfield gives you all the step by step instructions you to install it for your car too. and they would be better help than best buy

Sounds good to me as far as price. He said i don't need to really change the back speakers as they only play bass (didn't know that). What would yall say is this good deal?

The back speakers dont only play bass, whoever told you that is an idiot. You get the most sound from your rear speakers, from bass to mid to tweet. Personally I'd just replace all the speakers around the car, and in front get seperate tweets with a crossover. Also if you are interested in sound quality even one 10" sub will not hurt at all, you'd probably like the sound you got. A lot more cars than you think have subs than the booooom types, heh.
