Basketball championship game ends in bloodbath

This is unfuckingbelievable

Lebanese basketball championship
Sporting Club Beirut vs Sagesse Club Beirut

In the last game of the final, Sporting Club Beirut trashed Sagesse 112-72 to win the lebanese basketball championship.

Half an hour later, while the fans and the team were celebrating, The army viciously attacks the players and some fans, leaving most of them laying bloodied on the court, and sending 4 players to the hospital.

You know, sometimes, i can't understand human nature. Are people just stupid? or completely fucked up.
Good thing i couldn't get any tickets

well, the worst part is that the fight wasn't between the two teams. The defeated team left, so did their fans. The fight happened between the army (in charge of security) and the winner team.

why would the army do it? no reason at all? did they just walk in and attacked the players?
well, friends at the game said there was absolutely no reason for the army to attack
also, the other team had left, so the army had no business being there in the first place

i hate to go into these conspiracy theories, but it does seem like it's a political thing, since the two club represent two religions:
Sporting-- muslims
Sagesse--christians

that's so sad, cuz we are all humans and I can't believe we can act like that sometimes. We must be the only animal in the planet who reaches that level of stupidity
